featured image

What undergrad GPA do you need to do a doctorate in business administration? In general, you will need to be in the top percentiles of your graduating class if you are to do a PhD in Business Administration.

Why do you need such a high GPA for a PhD in Business in Administration? The reason is that the program is rather difficult, and Professors need to be sure that you are capable at performing in the PhD program.

What happens if you do not have a high undergraduate GPA? If you do not have a high enough GPA, this is not as problematic as you think. Why? Most of the applicants are looked at as a whole. Professors will look at other criteria that matter for the PhD to judge how you are going to perform during the PhD. The general requirement is do we believe that you are going to do well in the PhD program, and if there are multiple signals that you are not going to perform as expected, than that will be a negative towards your application.

Your GPA also depends on the supply and demand of the PhD program. If you are applying to a competitive program, than it is more likely that your GPA will matter a lot. Other people that look similarly will be applying to the same program, and you need to show that you are better than the other candidates.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.

https://r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform

A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people’s documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.

The goal of the platform is to get people to ‘pay it forward’ and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.
